Turkish Super Lig survivalists Antalyaspor are busy negotiating with out-of-contract Houston center back Bobby Boswell and manager Mehmet Özdilek is hoping to ink the American to a short-term deal in the coming days.
The 25-year old is currently in Antalya, having spent a few days checking out his potential new employers.
"We are working to make a deal," club spokesman Servet Çavuşoglu told Soccer365 on Tuesday. "We have some details and he has some details - if we can agree on the details, we will sign him to a contract through the end of the season."
"He has spoken with the coach. He trained with the team a couple of times. The manager is hoping he will play in the upcoming games."
Boswell, who played one season for the Dynamo after three with D.C. United, entered MLS as a discovery player after going completely un-drafted. In 2006, he was named the MLS Defender of the Year and earned a Best XI selection.
Promoted Antalyaspor currently stand 16th in the table, one point from a safety place, and will get back to league work with a January 25th visit to 14th place Ankaragücü.
The Scorpions, whose lone UEFA Cup appearance came in 2000, are perhaps best known for producing former Turkey keeper Rüştü Reçber. They have one other former Houston ace on the roster in forward Joseph Ngwenya.
