Sergio Bueno was officially presented as the new San Luis coach on Tuesday, after Rene Isidoro resigned on Saturday after six games without a win.

“I´m coming to San Luis to change the face of the team and turn around the bad situation that it is going through,” said 49-year-old Bueno in a press conference in San Luis Potosi.

The new manager will meet with the players, which include US international Michael Orozco Fiscal, and try to restore their confidence, he said.

The club currently sits in 15th place in the league, with seven points and hasn´t won since the second round of games.

The final straw for Isidoro was a 1-0 home defeat to relegation-threatened Atlas on Saturday evening.

Despite current form, club president Jose Antonio Romano maintained that the focus for this Clausura 2012 seaon is still to make the playoffs and to move as far away from possible away from relegation.

Bueno was coach at Puebla last season, when the club just missed out on the playoffs. San Luis becomes the 12th club Bueno has managed in Mexico, and he has only stayed more than two years at a club once, back between 2003-2005 with Atlas.
