Scott Levene, one of the top goalkeepers in his age group, has committed to hometown University of Connecticut for the 2013 season.

Levene is an FC Westchester product who has made quite the name for himself in his region during his strong young career. He has attended multiple U.S. Youth National Team camps and competed for high school state titles.

Levene, who tries to model his game after our nation's top shot stopper Tim Howard, had his sights set mostly on East Coast programs before setting on Ray Reid's powerhouse Huskies.

"I am very pleased to have been chosen by coach Ray Reid as the University of Connecticut offers me an outstanding fit for both academics and soccer," he said. "I am proud to be able to play for my home state and it's a dream come true."

Joining Levene in today's update is fellow U14 and U15 U.S. National Team call-in Jonathan Davis, another netminder who has committed to NC State for the 2013 season.

A South Atlantic Region standout, Davis is also supporting a local program and will bring a lot of good experience to the table.
