It was a rough Wednesday night for some Americans Abroad and an exciting one for others, with Rangers midfielder Alejandro Bedoya notching his first goal for the club to cap a 5-0 victory over Dundee United.

The 75th minute sub won a footrace with two defenders to hammer a Maurice Edu lead pass into the net with six to play. In addition to a strong ful shift from Edu, Rangers also got the same from Carlos Bocanegra.

In nearby England, Brad Friedel made four stops as Tottenham cruised through home side Bolton by a 4-1 count. Tim Ream went the distance for Wanderers, and was found partially culpable on the last two goal leaks.

Across the North Sea in the Netherlands, AZ striker Jozy Altidore was removed with a back bruise after colliding hard with a sideline barrier shortly before halftime of a 1-1 draw at NEC Nijmegen.

In Belgium's championship playoff, Sacha Kljestan worked the final 11 minutes as Anderlecht moved seven points clear on the summit by topping Gent 1-0. Mikkel Diskerud entered the match for the beaten visitors at the same time as his fellow U.S. international.

Across the seas in Mexico, Jose Francisco Torres had a hot and cold evening as Pachuca fell 3-1 to rude guests Club America.

Edgar Castillo and Joe Corona had better outings with the same end result as Tijuana dropped a 2-1 first leg result to visiting Monterrey. Gregory Garza also dressed for the hosts, but did not appear.

Back around the world in Denmark, Michael Parkhurst was sturdy at the back to help FC Nordsjaellend directly pull within three points of league leaders FC Copenhagen with a 1-0 home decision.

Finally, Charlie Davies went unused as Sochaux slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Ajaccio.
