Fernando Torres became the first player to score in multiple Euro finals when he knocked in the third goal in Spain’s 4-0 win over Italy in Kiev on Sunday night. The Chelsea forward also ran away with the Euro 2012 Golden Boot courtesy of his 3 goals and 1 assist combined with the fact he had fewer minutes on the soccer pitch than second place finisher Germany’s Mario Gomez.

Despite his limited minutes, Torres showed why he used to be Spain’s go-to forward. After an Italy turnover in their own half, Torres was played in with a perfectly weighted through ball and one touched the ball past a charging Guiliani Buffon to the far side netting.
