Meet Thierry Henry at Puma NYC Event

Sometimes, bigger *is* better – or, at the very least, a heck of a lot more fun. With that in mind, sportlifestyle brand PUMA is touring an oversized soccer boot and running shoe from the brand’s new evoSPEED Collection across the country in celebration of the launch.

For the tour’s kickoff in New York’s Meatpacking District during prime brunch hours, PUMA has invited soccer icon and local player Thierry Henry and Olympic hopeful, steeplechaser Delilah DiCrescenzo to take part in the festivities. Henry, who’ll be wearing PUMA’s King boot in a coordinating red, white, and blue colorway this summer, will be signing autographs and checking out the skills of local players on PUMA’s mini pop-up soccer pitch, while DiCrescenzo will be meeting fans and cheering on PUMA’s Speed Test sprint competition.

After dubbing 2012 “The Year of Speed,” PUMA launched a cross-category concept that applies the speed of Usain Bolt, PUMA athlete and world’s fastest man, to the sports of running, soccer, motorsport, and golf. Each shoe, with its attributes of “light,” “fit,” and “flex,” takes design cues from the spikes Bolt will be racing in this summer.
