Cavani: Not for sale

The 25-year-old is believed to have attracted the attention of a number of top European clubs, including Manchester City and Chelsea, after another excellent campaign in Serie A.

Scudetto winners Juventus have reportedly made an offer for the forward, but Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon insists the player is staying put.

"Cavani is not for sale and he doesn't want to move from Naples," Bigon said to Corriere dello Sport.

"I reiterate that Cavani will remain at Napoli."

The South American was instrumental in Napoli's fifth-place finish in the 2011/12 season, scoring 23 goals in 35 league appearances.

Moreover, he helped the Azzurri outfit win the Coppa Italia last month - Napoli's first silverware in 22 years.

Napoli slapped a 100million euros price tag on Cavani last year and the player is under contract with the club until June 2015.
