Oxlade-Chamberlain: Could make his full England debut

Oxlade-Chamberlain came on as a substitute for his international debut in last weekend's 1-0 win over Norway in Oslo.

And the Arsenal midfielder is set to make his full debut in a much-changed England team for Roy Hodgson's first home game in charge.

Welbeck has been struggling with an injury sustained in the Manchester derby in April but has returned to fitness - and Hodgson has revealed he is keen to take a look at the United forward.

"I've not had a chance to see Danny Welbeck because he's not been fit, so there are elements like that involved," said the England boss.

"The back four will be totally different and when it comes to the front four positions, I have a lot of options."

The defence against Norway featured Phil Jones, Phil Jagielka, Joleon Lescott and Leighton Baines but all will make way for what appears likely to be the Euro 2012 first-choice back four.

The Chelsea trio of John Terry, Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole are back in action after missing the Norway game due to the club's UEFA Champions League success and should be joined by Glen Johnson.

But Terry will not be considered for the vice-captaincy role and that leaves Hodgson with a decision to make regarding Steven Gerrard's deputy this summer.

Wayne Rooney is banned for the first two games of the European Championship but that might not necessarily rule him out of the role.

"The vice-captaincy is something we're considering," added Hodgson.

"We're having to take it on a game by game basis but Rooney would come into the reckoning."
