Cahill: Decision time looms

Cahill has been at Goodison Park since 2004 but could end his long-standing association with the club in favour of a switch to the United States.

The 32-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from Merseyside this summer, with clubs in the Middle East and China thought to be interested.

But the States appears to be the Australia international's preferred destination, with the Red Bulls believed to be front-runners for his signature.

Cahill joined the Toffees from Millwall and has notched up over 200 appearances over the eight years he has spent at Goodison.

The midfielder, capped 55 times for his country, has previously said he could be open to a new challenge overseas.
