English League Two side Accrington Stanley have renewed their interest in Liverpool's Ghana-born defender Godwin Antwi.
The 20-year-old spent two months on loan with Stanley towards at the beginning of 2007 and was again released by the Reds to play for League One side Hartlepool last season.
The latest reports linked Antwi with a move to League Two side Chester, but Stanley's Jimmy Bell says their manager, John Coleman, is interested in bringing the versatile player back to the Fraser Eagle Stadium.
Bell told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Myself and John have spoken about him and it hasn't really gone any further than that at the moment. But he's certainly a player that we will be pursuing."
Antwi grew up in Kumasi before his family relocated to Spain when he was 14 years old.
Despite being included in the Spanish Under-19 team, FIFA regulations allow Antwi to switch his national allegiance as long as he is younger than 21 and does not make a senior appearance for his adopted country.
