Bicycle Kick of the Year Award

The bicycle kick is one of the most exciting goal scoring plays in the game.  And with many to select from this year it may one from the NHL’s Reto Berra.  The Calgary Flames goaltender was not scoring a goal but keeping one from going in.

OK, that was impressive but the Bicycle Kick of the Year award has to go to Mexico’s Raul Jimenez.  Without his 85th minute heroics against Panama, El Tri Colores could easily be sitting out next year’s World Cup.  And as many reports have estimated that would have cost $650 million the team, sponsors, etc associated with Mexican soccer.
